No matter the career path we chose, all of us will feel burnt out at one point or another. When that time comes we must all find a way catch our breath and recharge. This past weekend was my rest and recovery weekend. With work being so busy as of the last month, I had next to no time to work on personal assignments. Not working on a personal assignment or even just photos that personally make me happy once in a while makes me feel lazy and unsatisfied with myself.
Thankfully last weekend I got out there and made some images for myself. I have been working on some panoramic images lately so I focused primarily on that but I also tried some new stuff while I was out there. Besides just taking photos for myself, spending time outdoors with great company also helped my refresh myself and uplift my spritis.
My friend Sid stands atop one of the edges at Fossil Falls, one of the pit stops we took on are way north to Lone Pine.
Stars over the Sierra Nevada's, one of the things I wanted to try was astrophotography. I'm never really in a place dark enough to take photos of stars so I was sure to take advantage of this opportunity and got up at 2:30am to get a few photos.
Another thing I wanted to capture during this trip was the sunrise. Just a few hours after I got up for the stars I was already making my way up the trail to get photos of the blue hour and sunrise.
Last but not least after our weekend camping we took a few group photos on our way out of town. I couldn't have asked for a better group of people to travel with.
